After checking into a multitude of nursing facilities to assist my ailing parent, I am quite pleased with this nursing home. The care my mother receives is extraordinary and the staff is always pleasant and kind to my mother as well as to me. I have never seen her neglected nor has she had anything negative to say about any of the employees. I was VERY fortunate to have stumbled upon this facility and am very glad that I did! My mother is happy, and if she is happy then that makes me very happy!

Why are these elderly folks subject to the profit margins of the FOR-PROFIT owner??? This place is understaffed with nurses and aides. The care is sub-par because of the staffing issues. Saybrook Landing has the potential to be a 5-star facility but until the human patients are treated with competent care and put before profits, it will be sub-par. Unfortunately, there are way too many elderly people who cannot speak up for themselves so when a patient comes along that can, nurses and aides get attitudes…"I'm doing you a favor." attitude that is just not acceptable. IF you have a loved one here…CHECK ON THEM FREQUENTLY. SEE WHAT THEIR DAY IS LIKE WHEN STAFF THINKS YOU NOT WATCHING…I can assure you your loved ones are not treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. I have seen it and heard it all via phone and visits. A shame.
