Unfortunately the Oaks has suffered over the last several years. The main issue is lack of accountability with respect to front line nursing/c.n.a. staff. There appears to be little compassion for the individuals intrusted to their care. It wasn't always like this; but management either can no longer lead, or isn't aware. The facility is dark, dated and the food is not good at all. Liberty Healthcare has recently purchased the facility from Novant; but they have actually decreased the amount of money they spend per patient on food. Hard to believe. You would be better served taking your loved any one of the myriad of update facilities in the area.
