In general the care is pretty good. Most staff are competent and caring. The place is clean and smells decent, the food is probably better than other institutions althought the meats are inedible. The kitchen staff goes out of their way to see that residents get what they want. Physical therapy is pretty good as well. Other ancillary services - laundry, maintenance are good and do their best.
There are a significant number of medication errors - the system is not designed well and everything is hand written which contributes to errors. The nursing staff is generally responsive.
The administration, however, is awful. The executive director does not care at all about the residents or the staff. He is unresponsive to requests. The admissions coordinator is a horror as well. She is self serving, vindictive and uncooperataive. It is impossible to get people on the phone there - no email, no voice mail, leave a message at the front desk, but most of the time they "didn't get the message."
