Nice facility. The physical therapy and physical therapists are great!

However, that's the extent of the greatness. NO skilled nursing occurs. The nurses seem annoyed if you send the CNA to get them or to bring something to their attention. They stay in the office except when they are passing out medications, which takes them forever. Understaffed. The CNA's work hard but there are too few of them to meet the needs of all of these elderly people. NO activities to keep these sweet residents from being bored out of their minds and going stir crazy. There is nothing for them to do but watch TV. Most of them sit slumped over in their wheelchairs with no one paying any attention to them. They have to wait too long to go to the bathroom and many times no one responds to their call bells for 20 to 30 minutes (or longer). The food is often cold and dinner is served very late on many days. One day my mother had to wait until 7 p.m. for dinner to be served.

Everyone who works there is very very nice. But it is heartbreaking to see so many of these elderly people not getting enough attention. And if my mother had not been so stable medically, it would have been very frightening, because, as mentioned, there is no skilled nursing taking place there.
