I had to have hip surgery and was told The Oaks was a great place to go for rehab. Upon admission I sat in the room for a few hours before the nurse finally came to my room and introduced herself. I had not had anything to eat since breakfast and it was nearing 2:00 pm. When I informed the CNA of my need for something to eat she gave me crackers and milk and stated dinner will be at 5:00 pm. I was extremely hungry and was unable to wait. I finally called a family member and was brought something to eat. I asked for a wash cloth and soap and had to wait another hour and a half before the CNA returned with these items. Alarms were constantly going off in the facilty and getting a quiet nights sleep was extremely difficult. I finally had to leave the facility , realizing I would not benefit from my stay at The Oaks.
