Review of Adira at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing

2 Star User Review

Daytime CNA staffing is sufficient. Evenings and weekends are regularly understaffed and holidays are abysmal.

Current owners appear to be more focused on perception than reality. Cheap cosmetic changes were made to improve aesthetics. However, the quality of patient care has diminshed.

Like any other workplace, there are some excellent staff, some poor staff and most are good. Adira seems more concerned about the dollar than human receiving or giving service.

Patient rooms are frequently out of paper towels. How do staff wash and dry hands before and after entering my family member's room? Why isn't toilet paper checked daily?

Patients sometimes have to miss doses because one shift is so late in giving meds. There are sufficient nurses to cover a day when everything goes smoothly. Any deviation - someone to or from the hospital, a fall, a death, etc - everything is thrown off. In a nursing home, most days one of those events is the norm rather than the exception. Nurses shoud be staffed accordingly.

Prior to making a decision, visit the facility once during the day and once during the evening.
