I am sorry to say that my 75 year old mother who suffered a stroke, was a patient at Putnam Ridge. I found it to be a less than adequit facility. With the exception of the therapy staff, I found the employees uninformed and not very honest. My mother was found sitting on the floor in the "Great Room" on her second day in this facility. No one came to help her and everyone denied seeing her or knowing she had fallen, God knows how long she sat there untill my sister found her. I was made to assist her to the restroom and to get her pajamas on after being told an aide would be there to help. By the time the "help" arrives she would have soiled herself, which also happened several times during her stay. The food is awful and practically thrown at the patients, cold sandwiches and hard pizza is hardly dinner.

I do not recommend this facility for a loved one at all, I am thankful to the therapy staff for their care, it was in fact the only bright spot in her time there.

Great activities available for the residents. Bright and airy facility. Best stafffing, cleanliness, and care available in the short term-rehab wing. Since a change in ownership not as clean in general,, less attention to detail, focus shifted from the resident to the business aspect. While some of the staff and caregivers are wonderful, there is a noticeable difference in others. As of late, there seems to be a number of staff who are leaving for greener pastures.
