My husband spent 24 days at Village Care after bypass surgery for a heart attack. In the entire time he was there, he was given one shower. He was never seen by a doctor even though I phoned the head nurse several times to report that his hands were shaking and he had chronic intestinal problems. The nurses were completely indifferent, and the dining area never seemed to be clean.
One week after he was released, my husband was back in the hospital emergency room. Village Health Care had prescribed four time the correct dose of one of his medications, and he had a severe reaction to it. If someone had not been with him at the time this happened, it would have killed him. He was also diagnosed with an intestinal virus which he undoubtedly picked up at Village Care.
On the plus side, the physical therapy staff seemed competent.
I would not recommend this facility.
