Review of Village Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

The look of the place is great - modern, clean, appealing. The care is not as great. There is a subsystem of "companions" that patients are encouraged to hire on their own so as to get adequate care at this facility. The employees themselves do not provide adequate care. It is unclear if the facility is understaffed but I have to assume it is because the private paid companions (who are not nurses or CNAs) provide the care the employees should be providing. They transfer patients, take them to meals and therapy, hook up nebulizer treatments, assist them in toileting. I saw very little care being given by actual employees who have an office on the floor that is locked although you can see in the window and knock. I complained to the facility and they supposedly investigated. It is not clear what was done about the complaints.
