walking in to this dump I really thought they had used cigarette butts for mulch… there were so many on the ground leading up to the front door.. I'm a smoker and seeing this really made me sick..

I arrived to see my mother and her door was closed.. I waited outside the door for about 5 minutes thinking staff was in with her.. after the 5 minutes I knocked on the door and went in.. my mother was there alone.. I closed the door behind me thinking it may have been closed for a fire drill or something.. as I came in the room the smell was over powering.. the staff had left a full uncovered adult diaper pail in the middle of her room.. I sat in there over 20 minutes with her and not one person came to look in the closed door.. I opened the door myself and about 30 minutes later. as an orderly walked by he saw the diaper pail and took it out.. I was there over two hours and not one person stopped in to make sure my mother was ok or if she needed anything.. it's so sad that's she's in this dump.. it's filthy, run down, and it takes 10 minutes to find anyone that works there.. My brother should be ashamed of himself for letting her stay in this place.. when I saw my mother she had not had a bath or her hair washed in what looked like months.. I am truly heart broken to see her in this disgusting place.. she deserves better..

That's terrible. I'm really sorry your mom is going through this. I used to be a cna im currently a PCA unemployed. When you call this facility for work they claim they don't need the extra help. I stopped working in the facilities because my heart was in my work and my residents and other Aides were not there for the same reasons and it made me so sad. there was no teamwork and way to many breaks taken.

People are getting this training for all the wrong reasons and the main one is money. And these agency's are not paying the over worked aides enough money if you ask me. We always worked short at our agency because they won't do any hiring. If waterfront had more than enough staff they wouldn't get such low ratings because someone would always be available to help residents and their family members.

Iv'e always wanted to work there but they are never hiring. i know a bunch of GREAT aides that would love a position there and show them about cleanliness, teamwork. availabilty, respect, kindness, good housekeeping etc.

Well i could go on and on. Im really sorry. Good Luck to you and yours. I will keep you all in my prayers.
