I heard from many sources that many nursing homes are run by the Mafia; and this one has all the characteristics of being one of them. Once you place your relative there, they do not let you take him/her out. They threaten you with the police; with Adult Protective Services (even if you are his/her family, next of kin, surrogate decision-maker and have a power of attorney). Not to mention the harassment, intimidation, bullying, and other unpleasantness.
In addition, they drug your family member so he/she will be like a zombie and will not bother the staff.
Not to mention the lack of medical attention. When I was able to get my uncle out of there and took him to a hospital, they found that he was dehydrated and had an acute kidney injury.
AND THEY DARE TO SAY THAT YOU TOOK YOUR FAMILY MEMBER OUT AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE, LIKE IF THEIR MEDICAL DOCTOR HAD BEEN TREATING ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONDITIONS, WHICH COULD HAVE KILLED HIM!!!
Under no circumstances I would recommend that nightmarish place even to my worst enemy!
