Review of Advanced Health Care of Albuquerque

2 Star User Review

My father stayed at Advanced in 2012 and it was a good experience. However, in 2018 my mother needed an extended stay due to an amputation. At 15 days we begin to get notices of her discharge date that stressed my mother and the family. The stress of these consistent notices impacted us negatively and hurt my mom's recovery. We were able to get the doctor involved, get a few weeks added, but the notices kept coming about every week. The lack of commitment to my mother's medical needs (4-6 weeks just for her foot to heal & allow weight bearing) that were well documented at the intake process is disappointing. My mother was released without learning to walk with the aid of a walker mostly due to the facility discharging her 3 days before she could get cleared for full weight bearing on her foot, allowing her to learn to walk. If we had been told or were aware that this facility would attempt to discharge it's patients by day 21; we would not have used them. The risk of my mother falling at home now, the stress associated to the notices, the inconvenience of her not learning to walk, in my opinion were irresponsible and a disservice to my mother. Consider using a facility that may not look as nice, but is more aligned with the needs of your loved one.
