Review of Azria Health at Montclair

1 Star User Review

This facility is the worst I have ever encountered. It is filthy ~ a tray of food was left in the hallway for more than 3 days and when I finally asked if anyone planned to remove it, it was covered with fruit flies. The smell of urine and feces (except at holiday time when there was a potential for outsiders to visit) was absolutely disgusting. Although the direct care staff may have a certification, there are very few for whom English is the first language. If I couldn't understand them and they couldn't understand me, how could they ever respond to residents. I feel that Montclair is understaffed. Residents were parked in wheelchairs around the TV for hours on end. The alert monitors used to assist residents with fall risks usually weren't working. Based on my mother's appearance, I was able to tell that no one had paid any attention to her needs for much of the day. Fortunately I was able to stop every day so that the staff knew me and knew I would not hesitate to file a grievance complaint. I have called the state of Nebraska to request an investigation.
