Review of Sunplex Sub-Acute Center

I placed my mother at Sunplex in January 2011. After a walk through of facility I thought it would be a great placed for her. She wasn't able to get out of bed at the time and was there for rehab in the rehab unit. She got there on a Friday afternoon and they didn't get her up all weekend long. I passed an aide in the hall and she said she gave her a coke. She did alright but it was a hot coke in a can and didn't even get her any ice and the table was pushed out of her reach. She was already under weight and I had to be persistant in getting her Ensure. I had to go ask for it. She lost 10 lbs in a week. I feel like they weren't helping feed her. I had to ask them to wash her hair. She asked for her pain meds and the nurse went and got it and put it in her mouth for her. Suppose to be a lortab but this looked more like a tylenol. It appeared coated. Have you ever seen a coated lortab? Not me! My mother took lortab for many years for pain and I never saw one that was coated!!This turned out to be a complete nightmare for me. So I suggest if your loved one isn't able to get up and do for themselves and not in their right mindset I wouldn't place them at this facility!!

anytime you enter a rehab faclity.just because she took certain medicines doesnt mean she will get it there. It has to be ok'd with the doctor first before giving a narcotic.

You have to get the doctors to ok medicines like that
