I do not agree with the previous persons review (sounds like an angry fired employee). When I have visited the nursing home and watch the staff caring for residents, I see the staff and the residents laughing and smiling. Of course, there are always staff in any nursing home that don't care like others do.

I tried finding where it is against regulations to have animals or children in a nursing home, and cannot find. In fact, when researching on the internet, this is encouraged as many nursing homes are trying to make their homes more homelike. When I have visited there are two dogs there frequently (lately I have not seen the one as much, but think that employee has moved away). There are residents who ask where this other dog is when not it is not at the nursing home and often I see this dog in their laps and getting a ride in their wheelchairs. The dog does not stay at the home as far as I can tell--not always there when I have gone to see my friends.

One of my friends has had a lot of health problems which put her into the home for a short time. She just recently returned home and told me that there was not a staff member who did not treat her well and the therapy staff was great. Before anyone makes a decision about a nursing home I would suggest visiting as personal reviews are biased negatively and positively. I do like this home and will most likely go there when I can no longer care for myself.

There is no way I would want my worst enemy staying this facility, if thats what you want to call it. They are a horribly run facility with 95 percent of the nurses don't care about anyone that is there, the only thing they care about is there paychecks. They force nursing aids to work there when they are sick and actually throwing up in the residents rooms. Thats the very last thing I would want my loved one to experience when they already have weaker immune systems. This place shouldn't even be open as dirty as it is and when no one there cares about the well being of the residents that live there. They allow people who work there to bring there kids and animals to work which is against state regulations and they just barely sneak by state checks. I can say for sure there is no way I would give one cent or ounce of respect to this facility. Its more of a zoo and a daycare center than a nursing home. How dirty is it should not be allowed. I have to give it one star to submit this review but it shouldn't even have that.
