My father was moved to this facility from their facility in canton . I would not recommend either facility the canton one Noone ever came in to check on my father who is in his later stages of alzheimers and at the whitemore lake my father came home to my sisters with sores on his bottom, he got a bacterial infection in his bowels and was released on a Thursday and is in the hospital bye Monday with this infection and server diarrhea he lost between 30 to 40 lbs. And was there just over a month . They put him on vicodin witch he has never been on. They lost majority of his cloths his Slippers 2 Belts , A Jacket .

He Was taken to the hospital with an enlarged prostate and catheterized after being there only a few days maybe a week that cannot all be blamed on them since he has had problems in the past with his prostate . But the fact that myself and my sister both asked repeatedly about what the in house doctor and or urologist had said about his situation with no one having any kind of answer for us and it seems the staff always would have to take a call or have to do something when we did asked told us nothing was being done . The funny thing about a week before he was leaving and they new he was leaving they called my sister to inform her that they had finally gotten an appt for the urologist for 2 days before he would be leaving .

So in my opinion I wouldn't take my worst enemy to either one of these facilities !

My father who was a WWII vet was placed in this nursing home for a 2 week respite from the VA Foster Care Home he was staying at during their vacation. Besides loosing most of his clothing while he was at Regency at Whitmore Lake, his care was less then good. For almost the entire time he was at Regency his arm had a wound and even though it was brought to their attention have way through his stay it was never addressed. The individual from the VA Foster Care home was upset when he arrived back to her with this problem resolved and nothing documented concerning this issue. My father passed away less than 1 month after his stay at this facility. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are a veteran I would highly recommend there VA Foster Care program. Stay away from this place.

My wife was in their care and had an extreme reaction to her medications. They noted that it started around 8:00am. I was not notified about this until 2:00 pm.

It was only then when she was sent to the ER, 6 hours later. We will not be returning there and I would not recommend entrusting them with your loaved ones.

WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING THERE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ENTRUSTING THEM WITH YOU LOVED ONE'S CARE!

Although "visiting" hours are quite extensive, there is no visiting room offered, and patients and visitors are forbidden to visit in the patient rooms, where most facilities allow visits.

Instead, visitors are made to STAND in the hall, under observation by staff, who are visibly listening, and made to dodge medicine cart, floor mopping. No chairs offered, no little table for resting materials on. Was this practice accepted by inspectors?
