Aids try to do the best but are understaffed. Nurses for the most part are there to strictly do charts and meds. Yes, my father was elderly and not in the best health, that does not explain why when they had him admitted to the hospital he was so severly dehydrated that the medical staff said it would take at least 3 days without food and liquids to be in such terrible shape. He was blind and they did not hand fee him they set a tray in front of him, the same with water. How does a dementia patient without eyesight or memory find their own food and water. Shame on them, and yes he died.
