I am a professional dealing with families who must make nursing home placements. I don't understand a 1 star rating. In my experience Canterbury is above average. Management conflicts can, and do, happen at every nursing home and some are much worse in the regard of resident/family relations. We should recall that my comments are about a NURSING HOME, which means it is never an ideal place to be.

If you have not had a personal experience with a patient there, then you probably have not seen first hand. I have seen more professional staff in a gas station!!! No Kidding !!!!!! Lack of communication & just Rude and not willing to help or address concerns.
No Place is perfect, but this place is bad. Patient call lights are not answered in a reasonable time 1 1/2 hr waiting for help!!!!

I agree, My parent was in rehab. Unprofessional, lack of patient care.Pleanty of errors. RUDE nursing staff!!!!!!!!!!!No one seems to have a clue from one shift to the other.Check out the others, may not be as pretty, but staff is probably better.I have heard they were good years ago, but not now.My parent waited an hour and a half for someone to answer a call light. They were in for pneumonia. What if they had trouble breathing again??????? Dangerous place!!!!!!
There are better nursing homes, it's pretty, but unprofessional and lazy.
Check it out before you place people there. Go yourself and chat with the families. What is your experience? Is it in the facility or over the phone?? I have been there daily for a while.
It makes a difference when you see exactly how it is.
Nursing homes are not great. The staff is underpaid for what they rake in. Not much pride in their jobs or place of employment!!
