A few years ago this was a fantastic facility. Currently it is deficient in several areas. Maintenance, cleaning, bed changing, patient care follow up by physician and food were far below expectations. Tests results given with no recommendation by physician (not on site) and he never performed physical exam to determine cause of problem. This had to be done by patient after discharge with her own physician immediately because of infection requiring antibiotic. Treatment ant testing promised before discharge did not happen.
Weekend staffing seemed short handed and often did not deliver fresh ice water. Once bathroom water was used to give medication. Food was terrible.
Positive: Physical therapist were very efficient and strived to strengthen the patient. Kitchen staff excellent, cared about satisfying and substituting food to replace unappetizing menu items. Five stars + for them.
Most of the nursing staff was efficient and caring. Aides or stewards did a good job keeping up their end of things.
Bottom line: Appears negligence derives from short staffing and many fairly new employees in addition to nonchalant physician. Food manager lacking in expertise and imagination.
