My mother resides here. I am her guardian and live within a few blocks of the facility. This is a smaller place, and is more like a family. There is affection between staff and patients. Administration has always been available to me if needed. Having worked in many nursing homes in my younger days, one thing I appreciate is that the residents don't seem to be micro-managed, but have quite a bit of autonomy in their choices and activities. My mother's disease is fairly unknown and not common (Lewy Body Dementia), and the staff has bent over backwards to accommodate her special needs. I have no complaints, and if I were to need a nursing home for myself, would be quite content there myself.
