Review of Regency on the Lake - Fort Gratiot

My mother was there for about one month. No service must be their motto. Had to fight to get showers several times a week. Long waits if resident needs the bathroom. They lost her bottom teeth and promised to grind food…it never happened. There for physical therapy but was left in wheel chair all day instead of working with the walker to gain strength.

When you talk to Corporate and head nurse they tell you what you want to hear and then never provide any action or service. Very stressful experience. Would not use again.

Three weeks later they called the family in for a meeting. Medicaid was terminated. I was told she didn't "need" it any longer. She had to move or pay cash. Very rude and would not discuss the change. I later found out the nursing home had notified my mother had died. Unprofessional………
