On the surface this facility appears to be wonderful, but the surface is about all that is good about Glacier Hills. Their focus is on the more lucrative rehab patient rather than the long term population. The money they earn is invested in appearances (wall covering, flooring etc.)not patient care. Staff turnover is high and that seems to be an indicator of an uncaring facility; when management does not to care about staff then the attitude just filters down to all who work there and the resident suffers. There are few private rooms. No one is taken to the bathroom during mealtimes, no matter how urgent. Nursing assistants, no matter how hard working, are over burdened and under payed thus making them unhappy about their work. Several nurses there are callous and have made residents cry. Upper management appear to be a cold and uncaring bunch whose main goal is to protect their income and job. Legitimate complaints are summarily dismissed. When the state inspectors come you could not ask for a better show. If you are looking for long term care…go elsewhere.
