I am so sorry to read what other people have written. This has not been my experience with the Assisted Living Facility side of this facility. The facility is broken up into 4 main areas, Assisted Living, Rehab, Nursing Home and Memory Impared unit. My Dad is in the Assisted living facility and I found it to be a wonderful place for my Dad. All summer there were weekly outdoor concerts, the food was pretty good and people there did seem happy to me. They had a dance part one night and my Dad was "the bell of the ball" as he put it. The director's own farther lived and past away in this facility and I think he shows a deep sense of caring. I think the room could be a little more frequently cleaned, but as soon as imentioned it, the situation improved. While I know this part of the facility it self pay and they realize there is competition out there, I also think it is a "gem" of a place. It was recommended to me by a friend who is a Visting Nurse and she said it was much better than most of these places. I think she is right.

Terrible facility. My mother was a patient here for a short time due to a back injury. For the most part she was totally ignored. We were under the impression she would be seen by a doctor or nurse on a regualr basis but she was not. It wasn't until we would bring it to their attention and the response was "we are under staffed". In the middle of the night she would get woken up male CNAs who spoke very little english who would come in and force her to change her bed pad when she was not soiled. She would tell them "no" but they would laugh at her and forced her to comply. This to me is extrememly degrating and unprofessional. She would cry out to get help from another staff member to get support but was never assisted. This occured more than once and we would complain, but again got the "understaffed" excuse. The septic system in the toilet in her room got backed up and it took almost a week for them to moved her to another room while it got fixed. The smell was unbearable. Right after this she developed MRSA which I believe was directly related to this facility. Because of this she was transferred to a hospital and ultimately passed away from it within days of being admitted to the hospital. Management never listened to us while she was there and after she left. This place makes me sick, it is disgusting.

Awful. Facility grounds are beautiful, their physical therapy department is great with the residents and very knowledgable, and in general the staff is friendly but they made a sad situation significantly worse. Their locked "dementia" unit was uneducated on the management of patients with dementia. Communication between staff is poor. Soiled depends diapers were left in bathrooms several times with stool just left on toilet seat. The locked unit has a very sterile and uninviting feel, not conducive to the population served. They use chair alarms on many residents, which serve to have a Pavlov's dog type effect on others as staff do not address the alarms. Their activities consisted of bouncing one ball between 20 or so residents or having them watch the news, again not the most soothing activity for those with dementia. I could go on but my opinion doesn't get better. Luckily my loved one has transferred to a much better facility. I would NEVER recommend this facility. More often than not, I would leave in tears.
