My mother was a patient at Kindred Nursing & Rehab Center, Great Barrington, Ma for 3 months. During these 3 months she was treated well and as a result of the kind hearted and professional nurses and physical therapists, she was able to leave the facility and move back home and be somewhat independent. They made sure she was able to function in a home environment before discharging her.
My suggestions for improvement would be a receptionist to answer the phone as it was sometimes difficult to contact the facility because in addition to their nursing duties the nurses were also responsible for answering and delivering the phone to the patient, which they were unable to do when they were tending to other patients. My mother has a complicated medical history with specific dietary needs. There seemed to be confusion between food service and what type of menu/liquids were ordered by her doctor. By the end of her stay this issue was somewhat straightened out.
