Review of Brinton Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

Cons: Rooms are too small, not enough aides, patient's have to wait too long for help when they ring the call button, urinals left with urine in them too long. Some staff were disrespectful to my father when he was a patient there. That in itself is unacceptable. One aide in particular, Margaret, was very nasty to my father and also my sister when she came to pick my father up for an appointment. Nurse who changed my father's bandage on his knee dropped bandage on the floor and then used it anyway. When my father had to be hospitalized at Carroll County Hospital after being at Brinton Woods (through no fault of Brinton Woods), I asked him how he liked his care at Carroll County and he replied "They treat you like a human being." So what does that tell you about how he was treated at Brinton Woods, the facility he just left? Our elderly deserve better treatment from those we entrust their care to. Verbal abuse is not acceptable, especially coming from an aide.

Pros: Dr. Turnes is an exceptional, compassionate doctor. The physical therapy staff were excellent as well.
