Review of Glenview Health Care Facility

1 Star User Review

CNAs get 5 stars. Friendly and worked hard to help.

LPN and RNs get no stars: friendly but did not provide the level of care of a professional nurse. Admitted because he was turned away from the ER (TJ) and placed here because of availability. ARNP Pat Spears diagnosed this resident with pneumonia and began treatment the day after arrival. However, because she left on vacation, and the nursing staff refused to send him to the hospital his condition worsened. Had the family not advocated for this resident and returned to the hospital (by ambulance) he would have died from pneumonia and congestive heart failure. He stayed in the ICU for more than a week, and in the hospital about 3 weeks. He is still recovering, fortunately, in a good nursing home.

NO stars for the facility. AC didn't work, and fans were blowing hot air on patients who complained of being hot. Old beds, old floor coverings, "homey atmosphere" is that of someone who has an old home with no one to help when they get sick!
