My dad was only in for 4 weeks. He was caught outside in the middle of the night. He had the security ready to let him out on a Saturday. There was very little attention given to him. Three times did he NOT receive his dinner. His medication was scheduled at 8:00 pm he did not get them until 11:00 pm.He was not helped with any bathing the whole time he was there. A family member did it. His drinks had to be thickened. Most of the time you could not get it or it would be so thick he could not drink it with a straw! He was to have fluids as much as possible he had the same cup two days in a room.( we dated the cup to see if they would fill it) EMPTY. If a family member was not there he had no help. He fell. No help. He was afraid to say anything so he bandaged himself.
If you plan on placing a loved one here ask a lot of questions!!
I seen a patient calling for help when she feel. I could not find anyone at the nurses station. I had to go down the hall around the corner to find someone to help her. The communication is not good at all. It's a guessing game on who's doing what.His doctor did not even know he was being released to go home.
