Review of Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center

2 Star User Review

Not all that Glitters is Gold. I recently needed to place a family member

into a rehab facility. I chose Ashton Creek, it is a newer facility located near Parkview Hospital off of Dupont Rd. The facility is indeed new and clean, but rather oddly laid out. The Dietary and Housekeeping staff work very hard and do a wonderful job, but I believe at times they seemed to be overwhelmed, administrators in my opinion don't consider these type of positions as a priority compared to themselves. The problem is their spot on TV shows former residents offering their praise, yet the age of the average resident is far older than the ones on the TV commercial. Also I saw a CNA acting very short almost rude with an older woman whom had with her hearing and vision. Additionally one of the Social Workers I spoke with came across as also quite arrogant and condescending. All in all I wish I would have found another facility.

My experience from Ashton Creek is that although many of the patients are older there are many individuals there for rehab that are ages 40, 50, or 60. My experience was that many of these individuals just like myself were rehabing from an elective surgery such as a knee or hip replacement. I would imagine it just depends on when you are there as to what the patient population is. This facility is known for their rehab and I can tell you after being in other places this place far exceeds everywhere else. I have been to Ashton Creek twice and many of their staff has changed over since 2013 and from what I hear it has been a very positive change. I know many people that have been there also and I have never heard a complaint from them. I could not have asked for better customer service.
