My mother in law lives here. She has been here for a few years. She has had both rehab and general care. We cannot say enough great things about this place. The staff are kind and caring. Management is approachable and responsive. The place is clean and bright! The residents are happy clean and active! This is a five star place for sure! I am so thrilled she is here. I can rest easy knowing she is well cared for

Ever since management changed over to a NON-NURSE resident service "director" the place has been going down hill. No one knows whats going on there. State should really keep a close eye on them. Over promise and under deliver. ALWAYS. The place is a ripoff! $5000+ and the resident get nothing but a small apartment and 3 meals a day? Come on, get real.

Addolorata Villa- over promise and under deliver. ALWAYS.

If your loved one is suffering from dementia or alzheimers..please do not place them in this facility. Although the facility itself is well taken care of…the residents are not.

Staff was untrained for this type of skilled nursing and residents were left unattended many times, with little stimulation or skill appropriate activities. Loud TV's and music seemed to be there solution to relieving the restlessness and confusion. Consequently, my mother finally fell in her room and severely broke her wrist. The facility refused to take her back into the unit with a broken wrist. They insisted we place her in their horrible nursing/rehab until her wrist healed. We forced the issue and she was readmitted with added care needed. She fell less than a eek later..in her room and broke her other wrist and shattered her pelvis. She died 3 days later from her injuries, which escalated her dementia into fatal end stage. She died with 2 black and blue arms in casts and suffered pain and confusion in her last hours. The hospital demanded she be sent to the Cook County Coroner, who deemed her death a result of her injuries. So sad, and not neccessary that this happened. Please check staff training and certification before you place anyone in one of theses places. We could have sued…but Mom needed to rest in peace. I am just warning others..be careful of Facades!

horrible…i was there visiting a patient and while there I overheard one of the nurses speaking in a vulgar and heartless manner to another patient. She was feeding the patient who was refusing to eat and got angry because of it. She yelled at the patient "if You dont eat, your gonna die" made me so mad to see the reaction on these helpless patients faces. I would never put my family there never, so disgusted with all of the staff and their snotty attitudes.

My mom was here for rehabilitation after a stroke. The therapy services were superb and the atmosphere was very home-like and inviting. The quality of staff at Greek American is a treasure in and of itself. Their knowledge and expertise was a comfort to us during this difficult time and they taught us so much! To have that all combined together made my moms stay there more than beneficial because she recovered better than when she was independent prior to having her stroke!!! I'd like to further note on the kindness of the staff, the therapy staff was so patient with her as well as the nursing staff. When it came time to help my mother adjust her diet and change her eating habits, their experienced dietician gave us tools to keep her healthy and energized at home. My mom is now back to driving and grocery shopping on her own without help. Thanks Greek American for the superb care!
