Please take the time to notice that this facility may look beautiful, but looks are decieving!!! If you notice that the staff has such HIGH turn over rate, that should be a SIGN… ANYONE is hired spanish speaking with NO english and or any other nationality not speaking any kind of ENGLISH. How can you communicate with the patient? Also, each employee has the word DIGNITY pinned on their uniforms. Excuse me, DIGNITY how can you provide dignity to a patient if they are IGNORED and not understood in ENGLISH??? I watched this happen ALL the time, please take heed and listen before you have to put your loved one through this!!

The worst part about the whole elder abuse problem is that you have no one to turn to. The people in charge of nursing homes are themselves in it for the easy job and don't want to make any complaints to the state on your behalf. Too much paper work and time. Don't ever expect the state of Illinois to help. You are just banging your head against the wall. The only thing that helps is a Lawyer.
It is sad to know that this is true and has been experienced by others too. But I would like to let others know that your loved one is NOT in good hands. Its funny, they walk around with a tag that says "DIGNITY" what exactly does that mean to them?? I am sorry that this kind of treatment is IGNORED by the state of illinois! Unfortunately, this is true also. They ALL know each other including MEDICAID, they ALL work together to make their millions from the elderly but never bother to take complaints. And if they are given complaints they are all thrown away and never investigated because of the almighty dollar. I cannot begin to tell you how much this place put me through along with the sadness in my heart accepting that my parent was going downhill fast and no one cared! I truly hope that others when reading this will be forwarned!! Thank you for your reply!!
I know exactly what you are saying. When I visit my parent there they are always just sitting facing the wall. The owner only cares about the money and when you complain to the state the guy you are referred to in Crystal Lake does nothing. He is a friend to the owner of this place.
