My mother's surgical wounds were neglected and became severely infected. She somehow got an injury on her leg which we were told she bumped. It later was seen to be a 1in gash that was already nechrotic. They just kept putting a bandaid on it and covering it up. It's like you are bothering them when you need someone to assist in using the bathroom. She waited for over a half an hour once. Not enough nurses available for the residents. Also they sit in wheelchairs the entire day staring at the walls. Very sad. And we were PRIVATE PAY. At $7000 a month you'd think you would get better care then this. Don't put your loved ones in a nursing home. Please!!!
