Review of Franklin Grove Living and Rehab

4 Star User Review

My father has been a resident of the FGNC since June of 2010. As with any nursing home, the thought of having a loved one living there is a very difficult decision. Our family looked at quite a few nursing homes in the area and decided that FGNC would be the best place for him. And as of this date (9/6/2011), none of his family members have regretted making that decision.

Every time any of his family members have gone to see Dad/Grandpa, he looks great. He is clean, shaven and dressed for the day. His room is always clean and his bed is made. Dad is very happy here.

The best part about the facility is the staff. They are always friendly, very helpful, and compassionate. I feel a sense of community between the staff, the residents and their families which is great. FGNC is always clean and smells good compared to other nursing homes that I have been in.

For the individual(s) who posted the dissatisfaction with the care for their Dad, I sure hope that you brought it to the attention of the senior staff or administrator immediately. If not, I strongly urge you to do so. They cannot make sure it never happens again if they are not informed. No family wants to see their Dad in that situation. Our family has never experienced or witness this kind of treatment.

With regards to the comment, “if this place wasn’t so cheap” I can only reply that our family is paying on average $5300.00 a month and we do not think that is CHEAP.
