The new administration has only showed me their greed, no actual care or concern about the residence. This facility has a fabulous staff but the facility is UNDER STAFF for the amount of patients. Also the residence clothes seem to disappear when launder leaving them needing new clothes. The administration doesn't answer the questions asked by the residence and seem to lack in scheduled doctor visits saying one will appear which seems not to happen.

This was our first experience with Kindred care center. The admittance person was Kim Hickman . She was wonderful she helped make the transition smooth and comfortable.A very knowledgeable kind efficient person to work with. All the staff was friendly helpful and best of all kind and pleasant. Thank you to each and everyone of the staff at Kindred care.

I am a home care medical provider who has been working in home care/ visiting medicine for 10 years in the State of Maine.

In my role, I have visited with patients in many different types of nursing care, skilled care and res care facilities.

When you do this work for a while, you learn about what differentiates a "GOOD" facility from a "BAD" facility.

Today, I travelled from Maine to Idaho to visit my elderly Uncle who is a resident at the Kindred /Nampa facility.

After spending the day with him, seeing his room, meeting the staff and observing how they interacted with my Uncle and with one another, I am delighted to rate Kindred/ Nampa a FIVE STAR rating!

The place is spotless. There are no offensive "odors" in the corridors or in my Uncle's room. He was clean, comfortable and cheerful. He has no worries or concerns about his safety and he reports that the staff is very responsive to his every need.

The staff - from the highest to the lower levels of skilled care - was excellent.

One can tell a lot about a nursing care facility by, not only the way staff treat and interact with the patient, but the way they treat and interact with one another as well. This is a Grade A level team. Top notch.

I am thrilled to know that my dear Uncle is in such good hands. This is the kind of facility in which I would like to one day be cared for by such skilled and gentle clinicians.

This facility is amazingly clean, no hospital smell. The food is plentiful but not tasty a lot of the time. Wonderful caring employees, to some working at Kindred was a calling rather than a job. The one complaint that I have is the noisy pipes. In an atmosphere not conducive to sleep, water pipes making pop, pop, pop did not help me get good rest.

Staff was very nice. The admissions director John was amazing! He went above and beyond to meet the needs of our mother. The nursing staff were very attentive to our mom's needs and she absolutely loved the other residents in the facility. The only complaint I have is the lack of communication. was there. I never was able to speak with a doctor. I did ask the staff to have the doctor contact me but, this was never done. I had a few other communication issues as well. Overall, we were very happy with the care that they gave our mother and would recommend this facility.

  • Sunny Ridge Nampa, Idaho 83686

Both of my gramma's have spent time at Sunny Ridge. My gramma Dorothy enjoyed her stay in their assisted living unit. It was small and homey and she received good care for the short time she was there.

My gramma Edna stayed in the skilled nursing unit after a fall resulted in a broken hip. My gramma was very angry and frustrated that she had to be in a "nursing home" at all. In general, she is a difficult woman and she was no different during her time there. However, my family saw that she received good care. The therapists were encouraging and the nursing staff was attentive.

One of the best attributes of Sunny Ridge is the fact that my difficult to please gramma could have lots of privacy because of the way the rooms are set up. There was a full wall seperating my gramma from her roommate, not just a curtain.

I think Sunny Ridge did a great job. I would certainly recommend them.

When she left the hospital after the stroke to Sunny Ridge, she left there with the hospital rejoicing her recovery. She was doing so well. Sunny Ridge however, let my aunt die because they didn't watch her after her stroke. They were told to watch her close because of the stroke and the clot in her brain. But they didn't watch her. They put her in a wheel chair for hours and then she puked all over herself while slumped over in her chair. My daughter found her like that and told them to put her into bed. My aunt was not responsive. It wasn't until the next day, on Monday, they could wake her and sent her to the hospital where the doctor grab me and pulled me down to look at her MRI. It showed half of her brain pushed to one side. The doctor said she had been bleeding for day. The doctors at the hospital still can't figure out why this place was giving her two different kind of blood thinners and not watching her closely. She died 3 days later and was only at the center for 9 days. One day after thanksgiving. She only went there for rehab. and was expected to do well as St. Al's told us. But Sunny Ridge is a terrible place and nobody should ever go there. I rate them a big fat 0.

I used to believe this place was awesome until after a year of my mother being in their vent unit and after the management changed and employees changed it went crusing down hill at full speed. I honestly have never been so discouraged about a place of residence for my mother and that is after I moved her from Parkview Rehab center in Burly Idaho. I can't see how this place could ever be rated 5 out of 5 stars. I personally would rate it 1 out of 5 and that is due to her being close to me a 30 min drive instead of a 3 hour drive. Seriously this place is utterly horrible
