As a family member i am very upset regarding the new smoking policy for the residents that have just recently been put in place. My family member that is a resident there had severe dementia and does not understand why she/he can only go with an employee. Family use this to visit with her in the designated area for smokers and now the family cannot have the code to use that area. We have been instructed we have to push the resident around the building, which is not covered, to get to the smoking area. Also, a family member that is disabled is unable to visit due to this change. I have requested a reasonable accomodation to Tracy Ivester and she have not resolved this issue. My request is that the immediate family have the code to use only during inclement weather and for the visit of the disabled family member. We will not disburse to other employees or residents.
