Review of Powder Springs Transitional Care and Rehab

1 Star User Review

I wouldn't give this place a star at all if I was given the option to do so . We put my mother in law here in hopes that she would get the care she needed to get back on her feet thru the rehab program that they supposedly have. When we moved her there she was actually getting out of her hospital bed on her own and walking for a bit. She wasn't screaming that she hurt or anything like that we just thought sending her home was not the best choice at the time because every time she went home she ended up back in the hospital. We felt that the rehab would give her that extra ump that she need to be fully independent again. We were wrong…. she was there approximately 3 weeks and and within that 3 weeks she went down hill drastically, we finally decided to have her transported back to Piedmont for further evaluation against the head directors advice say she thought "she was fine". We got her to Piedmont and within a short period of being there they found that she was drastically dehydrated and very low on blood they had to give her a blood transfusion…. they also found out her pic line that fed her, her meds was not working properly when at the facility or should I say hell hole they said it was functioning properly …..me and my husband then went home because they told us they were going to admit her after we talked to the admitting doctor he said they were going to take xrays to make sure her central line was in place properly ( because they had to take out her pic line and give her a blood transfusion) We found her arm was fractured hmmmm not happy at all at this point… This place isn't fit for a dog or anything living for that matter…

Same thing is happening to my relative. We put her in for Rehab and she has regressed. We are going to move her as soon as possible.
