Review of Southland Health and Rehabilitation

Please, please do not send your loved ones to Southland Health and Rehab. I found my mother in deplorable conditions after I showed up early from a vacation. Her clothes were soaked in urine. I have no idea how long she had been sitting like that. Her bed made up for the day, reeked of urine. After I made management put their heads down to smell, it got immediately changed. She couldn't feed herself and I found her many times still with a full plate as they were closing up and cleaning up the dining room. They had not helped her to eat, so her full plate of food, stone cold, was getting ready to be thrown away. So much more went on, I don't have room to list it all. I moved her as soon as I could find an opening in another facility. Additionally, one of her best friends was sent to Southland for rehabilitation after an accident, and she died within a few weeks of bed sores. I realize I am just a faceless person on the internet, but you are reading reviews, so it must mean something to you. Please don't send them to Southland. There are far better facilities in the area.
