Review of Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

We took my 90 year old father to N.E. Atlanta after back surgery. When we came the next morning he had a lot more bruises and fingernail marks on his hands that were not there the day before. He said they had scratched him, treated him rough, hurting him. When my mother was in the room she said they rolled him around in the bed like a sack of potatoes even though he had just had back surgery. When he was taken for a walk down the hall an attendant hit him in the back to get him to straighten up. The nurses and aides have attitude and you cannot ask them a question no mattter how nicely you phrase it without a sarcastic tone in their voice. Mother tried to help Dad and pushed the called button. No one came. After a half an hour she went to the desk, still no one came. It was almost always a half an hour to an hour to get a response. When she tried to talk to them they ignored her and didn't answer. They did not bring him breakfast one day. Dad has a clear mind and was terrified. We took him there on Thursday night and removed him on Monday morning. He was mistreated. I would suggest trying to get into a prison hospital rather than sending someone you love to this institution. I only wish we had removed him after the first day. Why people who hate the elderly would want to work with them we don't know? Nice facility, unbelievably bad staff and the worst attitude I have ever seen from health care employees. If there was a way to show a minus rating we would give Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation Center a minus 5.
