My mom was admitted at Astoria for rehab after a surgery. The grounds are beautiful and most of the staff is very nice and polite. With any rehab/nursing facility, I had to sometimes remind the staff of what mom needed to make her comfortable. I also made sure to follow up with each nurse as shifts changed and the unit charge nurse as well just in case something I communicated slipped through the crakcs. I would recommend doing this at any facility. Overall I was pleased with the patient care, service and amenities.
