Dad was there two weeks and we couldn't wait to get him away from that facility…so much so, that we pulled him out before they "released" him. My brother was there every day but the staff failed to mention that my father wasn't eating any meals and had lost 9 pounds in 6 days. His BP was too low to participate in rehab but they made no effort to help with the solution…even when we told them the problem. His cardiologist changed his BP meds but they ignored the doctor's written orders and for 2 days continued giving him the meds that the doctor had discontinued…so still no rehab. My father is two weeks behind where he could have been if we had brought him home from the hospital and hired a physical therapist. If you have a loved one there, please watch them carefully!!

I would never recommend this facility to anyone, even an enemy. Administration is great while your inquiring about thier facility but once your family member is in the facility then you can rarely get questions answered at all even if your the patients advocate. The nursing staff get irritated if you have a concern, the care plans put in place are not always followed correctly yet your told they are. I researched this facility prior to sending our family member there on medicare.gov and the facility showed decent ratings but at the same time this facility was on the SSF (special focus facility) list for poor performing facilites listed by CMS Center for Medicare and Medicaid. A facility on this list has more general problems, safety and injury related problems and pattern of serious problems that are more than your average typical facility problems and this was 1 of 4 on the SSF list. I sure didn't realize just how much this was true until experiencing it with our family member. We were not the only family there with complaints. Alot of ratings seen on these nursing homes could very easily be the nursing homes themselves. We've known 2 families with loved ones that have passed unexpectedly at this facility within the past year. I would suggest researching any facility thru medicare.gov and ACHA prior to choosing a place for your loved ones.
