I was a nurse at heritage and it is one of the worst facilities in Tallahassee. The morale in the facility is low because administration doesn't care about the employees. They only want to make a dollar and could care less about patient care. Rather than focusing on patients they focus on nurses not charting accurately so they can get paid. The administrator only worries about patient care when the state is in the building. There are few staff members who truly care. Dean Copeland, Renee Rowell and Pam Carter ate the only nurses who will follow thru to help the patients. They will never lie to you and will give all to see your loved one is cared for. I left about 6 weeks ago when the state was there and I was ask to lie to them. If you love your family member do not put them here. I have seen patients lay wet and in dry feces for long periods of time finally changing them myself. The rooms are nasty and the food is too.
