As a family who has had a parent in this facility we suggest you do your homework. Make sure your loved one has enough medicare or medicaid days , the billing department at this facility is inadequate . They do not follow through and you will be charged because of their errors . If you choose this facility , visit your loved ones daily. The aides and nurses do not stay on top of the patients needs or cleanliness . Infections like c-def are spread through this facility and patients are not seperated unless the family questions them. Make sure all articles of clothing or personal items are marked clearly, or you will never see them again.
We all love our family members and if they need help reabilitating or constant nursing care this may not be your best choice. I rate this facility as a 2 , and only a 2 because their maybe a few wonderful aides and Debbie, the head nurse there is amazing. She spends time with the family and explains your concerns in detail. My guess is she will move on , she is to good for this place . There are other facilities in PSL, leave this one as an absolute last resort.

I WENT THERE TO PREVIEW THE REHAB FOR MY FATHER. IT WAS VERY NICE INSIDE. WHEN I GOT THE TOUR I FELT THAT THIS WAS NOT A PLACE FOR HIM. I FELT THAT THE STAFF WAS STANDOFFISH. THE PATIENTS WERE LINED UP LIKE CATTLE WAITING TO GO INTO THE DINING AREA. AT THE TIME WHEN WE PASSED A PARTICULAR PATIENT, THAT PERSON REACH OUT TO TALK TO THE PERSON TAKING ME AROUND, SHE INGNORED HER AND I FELT NO WAY WOULD I LET MY FATHER COME TO A PLACE THAT IN MY EYES DO NOT RESPECT THE FEELING OF ANOTHER.
