Negligence, abuse, and ignorance sum New Horizon up very simple. Not enough nursing or aides to properly care for the patients at any given time. Documented multiple reports where some were left on bedpans for 45 minutes or longer, medication intervals neglected for upwards of 2 hours. Rehab patients being ignored for therapy, prolonging their stay and in some cases becoming worse. Bedsores, rough treatment from staff, and ignoring of calllights for upwards of 45 minutes, even though multiple staff members will walk past the light whileon and not care to check. When being placed on discharge notice only given a 2 day notice to prepare for leaving. Not given food choices, even though menus are printed daily so causing aggravation in kitchen when having to refuse a meal for a substitute. All in all not a place I would ever send a family member again. After 3.5 months one patient trying to regain ability to walk was still bedridden fromlack of care and with severe bedsores. Was forced to click 1 star when my choice was to leave them totally blank. Avoid at all costs.
