worst place beware
We are very pleased with the staff and services provided in this facility. Any questions are answered promptly and required actions are taken immediately. We have no complaints about the facility.
In our particular case, when my father was first admitted at Riviera, he was anorexic and had been hospitalized four times in a period of four months, mainly due to pneumonia and UTI, which as a result he became septic at one point.
It is important to note that since he has been living in Riviera, he has recovered his weight and has never had to be hospitalized.
Awful how the way you treated Emma Anderson
Very poor care of the elderly they neglected my grandmother they didn't feed her is was very dehydrated she passed away in their care I do not recommend it.
My family member has been here for a few months I did paperwork for long-term care. One day after a hospital stay when she was due to come back they said she couldn't come back. They don't care about the patient only about charging medicare . And if family is involved they will not want the patient around for long. This place is a mental Institution. Terrible organization and very unprofessional. Please don't bring your family here.
This place is the most disorganized there is worse than a neighborhood clinic in Cuba or Nicaragua, employees are underpaid and give them to 10 patients a day, which can not be adequately cared for, there is never enough towels or elements work, but they put them only for government inspections, nursing assistants, receive daily 3 or 4 towels, with which they have to clean up to 10 patients or more, you can imagine the quality of service given to patients I do not recommend this place to anyone, the staff always goes by overwork and low pay, which makes the service is terribly disastrous, my sister works there and is desperate to leave and there, which I strange is that nobody complains, perhaps because of fear of losing the job, but I can not resist that in this country there are places like this and no one to control them, play with the health and steal money to Medicaid or Medicare patients.
God bless you
It is very difficult to reach a patient at this facility. I called several times this morning, only to be told the patient was not there--but of course he was and I was able to visit him in person. But when I tried to reach him later in the evening, I again could not get through. The phone would ring twice, someone would answer but not say anything. I tried more than a dozen times and finally gave up. Unbelievable that I cannot reach my friend at this facility. I do not recommend it at all, unless you are a celebrity who is trying to disappear from the public.
This is a horrible place….please think twice about putting any family member here. One of the most horrible things is that they dont change diapers in a timely fashion, they leave their patients with pissy diapers for hours and cause urinary track infections. Even worst, if they treat the UTI your lucky most of the time they don't and have caused a death in my family because they did not treat it for weeks and caused the infection to spread to her blood and body and she died, I hope they shut this place down and un mask these nurses who arent doing a dam thing good about their job. Horrible nurses, rude and really dirty, I can go on and on and on.
My mother was transferred by ambulance to a hospital in Miami, FL, to this Rehab for two weeks. He arrived with water in the lungs with pneumonia and was intubated for three days. He spent two weeks in the hospital and then referred to a place of rehabilitation. When we arrived, no one greeted us, we were in a room at the end of the building, no one came. I had to stay overnight in a good hard chair, I asked for a recliner and they said that there's only on a private room. The attention was terrible, the second day my mother had a very big rash on her back and it hurt a lot. It was because they left in one position all the time. The doctor sent her to a private room. There was no internet service, or phone unless you wilt right near the window. We spent two weeks there and there were three cockroaches and a worm coming off the bedside table. Nobody cared, also had mosquitoes. My mother became ill with bronchitis and did not give her any medication because the doctor said that was where necessary, that is, when cough and never had to hear it and see it. It did not improve so fast, and then asked him to give the spray and is also given when necessary, did not continue treatment. A nurse took three pieces of clothing to laundry, which only appeared, the other two were stolen and a nurse said many things happen since they are carried until they reach the place. Wow … The shift nurses am always critical of the night shift and vice versa, casting blame each other. Nurses and assistants take a long time to go through the room to see patients. A not pleasant experience and I would never visit that place in my life.
bad place worst 3 1/2 months of my life, food bad, care bad,not a place you would want to send anyone people are sit in the halls most of the day crying or yelling and the staff walks by and tells them to keep quiet instead of finding out what is wrong no care for human life in this place not very professional just a hand full of staff care to most its just a place to get a paycheck some of them do not need to be in the health care business
This facility appears to be very clean. But there's more than just hallways to look at. Check the restrooms and rooms, you'll find trash just sitting around. You'll find the patients sitting around too, unless someone important is walking around. Then the patients will be sitting in chairs or in the meeting places. Some nurses are helpful while others entertain themselves with lively chit chat. You must have thick skin to put up with their stares as you walk things to the laundry room. Hopefully you'll get your loved one clothes back. If you have questions you may have them answered, but don't hold your breath. When you think you have access to your loved one 24/7 as they tell you. Someone unplugs the phone periodically or when they just don't want to answer the phone. Overall, there's more than what meets the eye. Check out ALL of your options before sending your loved one here.
"I would like to convey my sincere thanks to you and your staff for the courtesy extended to my mother Norma in room 118, during the week delightful stay she had at your facility. I would like to express my appreciation for the remarkable services rendered. This was our first experience in placing my mother in a Rehabilitation Center/Nursing Home. Your staff was very helpful and attentive from the beginning to all of her needs. Your Rehabilitation Department is exceptional, and the nursing assistants are courteous and amicable making her stay very memorable. The experience was great from the admission (Jackie) to the care my mother received. I will be referring you facility to the community, everyone will be hearing how wonderful and welcoming Pinecrest Rehabilitation is." - Mayte
You better stay with patient at all times…No bed rails permitted, depressing home…Not rehab..Not a Resort..
My friend was taken to this Rehab center after a knee replacement surgery. First night in, the A/C in the room was not working, second night, cockroaches in the room. No pain medications is being given, except for Tylenol (or the generic),
The food is so bad, so poor, even uncooked pancakes, that she is not able to eat except for what we bring her. Undernourished patients will take longer to get well, a balanced and healthy diet is required for the person to recuperate. How can you feed a patient, mini hotdogs and a piece of boiled potato ???? What is going on in this institution needs to be corrected ASAP.
Please do not allow anyone or family member within 20 feet of this facility. I recently was able to transfer my father out of there. Please, please, please shut this place down before another patient has to suffer.
Good location, clean facility & excellent care.
I cant even give this place a half of star. DO NOT PUT ANY FAMILY MEMBER in this hell hole. We had a family member there and this place is a joke. Its dirty, nasty & they dont look out for their patients. There are roaches EVERWHERE my aunt had to sleep with a light on. They need to be shut down!!
This place needs so much help! The Nurses and especially the CNA’s are Sooooo…. indifferent to most of the patients, whom are mostly elderly and unable to move, eat, go to the bathroom and think for themselves! They are constantly yelling and shouting throughout the corridors like they are in a park or in a barn! Not a place of Peace and Tranquility like it should be, day and night! Is a place with NO compassion and no heart! All the employees at Harmony should be having training on how to better deal with these patients! And there SHOULD be consequences to the staff that do not comply if things do not improve! For the owner this is a Business, but is important not to forget that we are dealing with Human beings not a warehouse of 203 boxes, there are 203 patients!
The nurses and aides are rude and dismissive of patients. They ignore loud cries of pain and take up to an hour to answer a patient's call. They are sarcastic and belligerent to patients and family members. The care is substandard. They caused my mother worse medical problems than she initially came in with. They ultimately caused her to decline and waste away. They refused to give her medication that was on her chart. They improperly placed a foley catheter, causing trauma and infection. They over-hydrated her causing her to gain 7 pounds in one day. When they did not give her the nitroglycerine that she and my sister begged them for, my mother suffered heart problems and had to go to the hospital. We regret placing my mother in this institution and hope to save another family the pain and grief we are still experiencing.
This facility is very dirty and abuse on patient .the nurse's are lazy and incompetent to do their job and treat the patient . the night staff they just go to fall asleep on thier duty to take care the patient. The administration are very incompetent and rude that including the administrator
Before admission the staff provided me with a tour…the staff was very knowledgeable took their time and answered all my questions. After my mother was admitted she received great attention and compassion. If I had any concerns they were immediately addressed. During my mothers stay all I got were positive comments from residents and family members that have been there for years. I would definitely recommend this rehab for your love one.
I recently was a patient at North Beach Rehabilitation Center and all I have to say is what a wonderful recovery I had after my Hip surgery . The rooms where big and always impeccably clean . The nurses are extremely caring and compassionate . The nursing assistant was always passing by to see if I needed anything. The therapy room is amazing ,my therapist is the reason I can walk without a walker. I only have the best things to say in my experience at North Beach . I Highly Recommend It…….
I was looking for a place for my father -in-law. My husband and his uncle , who is doctor, went to visit this facility on 10/30/2013 at around 3 pm. They found the place dirty, with all kinds of patients walking around. No nurse in sight. This is more like a Mental instituion, not a physical rehab center!!! When advertising this facility should provid infor that it caters to more of a mental health center….
Previously on Friday ,10/25 I had called to request info , but there was NO answer on the phone!!
horrible place. negligent. wound care did not properly care for my dad after multiple complains nobody did a thing until it got infected and I had to remove him from the facility and take him to see a Dr.
The staff put diapers on my grandmother rather than assist her in using the toilet. She was not cared for and the place smelled of urine. Within three weeks, she had community acquired pneumonia - they only called me once they dumped her, alone, in the ER at Mercy. She was in distress and could barely breathe. Her organs slowly shut down and she died 5 days later. I would have never allowed he to be put in this place if I had known how bad it was.
