Four years ago, my Grandmother became a resident at Signature Health Care and it was one of the best decisions that my family could have made. At the time my Grandmother, who is diabetic, was in the early stages of dementia. Highly functional, she required very basic supervision and daily assistance with taking her medication, light housekeeping, and accompaniment to and from daily activities. She could not have been happier with the care that she received from the Signature Health Care staff and the ability to interact with the many other residents, who quickly became a second family to her. My family joked that she was reliving her college years, only with a much more mature crowd. As was expected, my Grandmother’s dementia progressed into Alzheimer’s disease, and just as expected, the Signature Health Care staff has not missed a beat. Now requiring help with the most mundane tasks, it is not unusual to walk in her room and see one of her nurses combing her hair, or even giving her a kiss on the forehead after a feeding, or while tucking her into bed. There’s a saying that nurses are earth angels and that saying could not be truer than for the nurses and aides at Signature Health Care. My family and I cannot begin to express our gratitude for the consistently wonderful and compassionate care that they have given my Grandmother. We highly recommend Signature Health Care to anyone seeking a senior living facility for themselves or a loved one.
