Review of Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

My father, age 62, was in the care of Shoal Creek Rehab Center from November 2010 to January 2010 for multiple strokes. He had little use of his right side, and his brain was severely damaged. One night he tried to get out of bed and hit his head. Staff took him across the street to the ER who did scans for concussions (he did have one). No one at Shoal Creek called us; my brother only happened to find out when a CNA mentioned it a day or so later. My mother reported to administration at a staffing meeting, and it was only briefly addressed. In January 2010, his Medicare kicked in rather than private pay, and suddenly there were no beds available which was perhaps a blessing in disguise.
