My mother-in-law was here in 10/2013. The care is very poor. I have worked in nursing homes. We went to visit her and, although she may make her own decisions, they had no idea where she was. They have a sign-out sheet which

only requires a date and her signature. Some friends came and took her out.

They tried to tell us a family member took her out and we are the only family nearby. There is no notation or signature of who took her out and the approximate return time. She has multiple health conditions including dementia. The staff is sloppy and defensive. The weekend supervisor had no idea of her health conditions and just stated "she can make her own decisions." That is not the point. We want to know who took her out. They do not feel they have a liability issue but she is their patient. It would be a simple procedure to have the friend sign her out and present a photo ID. We also wanted to change her room as she had an extremely loud and combative roommate. We waited for over four hours for a call and my husband finally went there. There are nursing facilities in Naples that are wonderful please if you have a choice do not put your relative here. I would not put my pet hamster here again!

I completely agree with the previous review. Most employees do not speak english, their is no communication between the departments (nursing, admissions, therapy, etc).

The doctor on staff just runs in a couple times a week to do the bare minimum on the patients. He knows nothing about the patients, just follows what the nurses tell him and the nurses spend no time getting to know the them either. They tried to put mom on Coumadin 10 days after her partial hip replacement surgery and we stopped them. Then when we took her home, they wrote a prescription for it. They sent us to the wrong city for her appointment with the surgeon and we spent five hours in transport vans trying to get to the correct place.

She went three days without any Physical Therapy so I had to be walking her once or twice a day then the PT Director lied to me about why. A nurse lied to me about an Xray incident and her call light didn't work in her room for emergencies. She was pretty much on her own except when I was there to care for her.

They did move her into a private room after two weeks but then didn't tell anyone and PT couldn't find her. Mom finally got into a wheelchair and went there to tell them her new room number.

All the departments are centrally located and you have to walk by them all to get to the rooms yet they can't seem to communicate and keep things straight.

We brought her home early and it was the best decision we made. DON'T leave a loved one alone in this place and even if you're there you better stay on top of everything the do. Also, the food sucked!

My mom was a resident until the end of 2011. During the time she spent I probably called every agency I could. One particular nurse four instances gave mom wrong pill or wrong dosage, finally they were discharged. Finally the residence stepped up. New administrator tidied the place up, hired staff, educated the CNA's. Unfortunately he left he facility. Some nurses could have a better attitude, more compassionate. Food most times sucks, residences can't chew what's put in front of them, alternate grilled cheese not lays the answer. Their saving grace is mom's wonderful CNA Tophena and nurse Andrew. It wasn't unil hospice was called in could I relax. I was there everyday, feel bad for patients where ult children aren't attentive.

My mother was recently at the Aristocrat for rehab after an orthopedic procedure. She was utterly miserable. She has mild to moderate cognitive impairment. She was put in a double room by the door and the curtain was kept closed so she had no view of a window. Absolutely NO attempt was made to orient her on a daily basis. She felt lost and isolated and became confused as to why she was there. The nursing aides barely spoke English and many of them were rude and dismissive. They were clearly overworked. I never saw a registered nurse come into her room for any reason. The staff seemed more interested in socializing with each other at the desk than attending to patient or family member needs. The food was awful and the furnishings were shabby. It is clear that this facility spends the absolute minimum on patient care. Don't use this facility!! There are NON-profit alternative facilities. If we are in the same situation again - no beds in the preferred facility - we will try to hold out for the next available bed in a non-profit facility rather than risk a family member's health and mental well being in this facility.

My wife was discharged from Premier Place June 28,2011. We found the facility, staff, and support to be outstanding. The professionalism and responsiveness of the staff was noteworthy. They offered a good variety of entertainment and other activities to provide something for everyone to break up the monotony of being in a nursing facility. Food was excellent and with good choices. Most important, the staff was very understanding and caring.

my husband is currently in the facility for rehab. We have found the staff to be more than helpful. The nurses are well trained and very friendly. The aides are also friendly and go about their tasks with a smile. overall this is the best rehab staff in assisted living homes and they go beyond to help the patient become better.

Nurses aids speak little to no English, there are 2 aids that could be understood on the ALF side and 1 on the Skilled side. They provide unsafe care and complaints are not taken seriously by upper level management. Spend the extra money and place your loved in another facility.
