Review of Consulate Health Care of Brandon

The staff does not talk to one another. My father is in the facility for rehab after having a pacemaker put in. Except for 2 of the nursing staff, he has been pretty much ignored. I have given the staff a two page write up on how they can best help him gain strength and progress. The nurses have no idea what to do from one shift to the next. I must visit 3x per day and have just hired an outside service to assist with his care. They have lost his hearing aid, his books and some of his clothes. I spend more time checking on him than I should. It took 2 days for admission to get me the paperwork to check him in. He has parkinson's disease so eating is a challenge…each day is a new experience for me and he gets extremely frustrated when they do not follow my simple directions. The entire administrative staff was in a meeting this morning when I went to report things and see if they had found his hearing aid.
