Review of St Camillus Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

1 Star User Review

If you love your family member, do not admit them to this facility. The direct care nursing staff are wonderful, but nursing management leaves much to be desired. Family members are not invited to give input or be involved with patient care. In fact, I was often dismissed and made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about, when I expressed concern about my family member's change in cognitive status. He ended up falling as a result of their failure to address, or even acknowledge, any confusion or disorientation. He also experienced a significant weight loss while he was in their care. When he was transported to the hospital one night, I received no call to inform me of this, as they did not have my correct phone number in his chart. Had the admissions department called me when he was admitted, to verify the contact information, this would not have happened. No such calls were made to me upon admission. Family members are kept in the dark about most things. If you need to find placement for your family member, I urge you to look elsewhere.
