Review of Cassena Care at Stamford

2 Star User Review

No stars. My father was placed at the Regency for short term rehab since the regency was rated 5 stars I assumed (yea,I know make an ass out of you and me….) Lets start with his bedside phone,it did not work . The main number for the nursing stations were ignored (press 1 for1 east nursing station, 2 for 2 east… well I tried them all.)family members were frantically trying to reach him for hours although the staff and superviser were fully aware of this issue. He was served 3 yes, 3 raviolis for dinner. He showered in a closet sized bathroom which he complained had an alarming amount of mold.(since he was also being treated for an infection this was a concern.) My Dad has a history of heart attack. Not a secret, yet when he complained of chest pains on a Friday night it was brushed off the nurse response," quit joking with me."On Saturday my Dad complained again.Vials were checked ,at this point a close family member was able to reach my Dad. Imagine how he felt when he was calmly told that in a half hour or so my dad would be transported to Stamford Hospital because of chest pain. His reaction was immediate … was aspirin given? ? Why was patient waiting for transport when an ambulance was obviously much more appropriate ??? My fathers stay at the Regency was for less than 24 hours.
