  • Greenwich Woods Rehabilitation Greenwich, Connecticut 06831

Greenwich woods is a frustrating place. There is no transparency as to who is in charge, or how decisions are made. very low expectations for residents where rehab goals are concerned. willingness to let patients languish in wheelchairs for hours on end. inattention to matters of personal dignity. Nursing is very spotty. Some good nurses, but all too often i found my family member not dressed, without hearing aid, teeth, etc. No consistent thoughtful attention to quality of life for residents.

They talk a good game, the lobby is nice, but when you get down to it, GW has a profit mentality. GW cares about money, not about people.

  • Regalcare at Greenwich Greenwich, Connecticut 06831

The physical therapists are good and the doctors are reasonable , when you talk to them. They're almost never physically there except for emergencies. If you're highly mobile and fully aware, this place is just ok. If your loved one has many special needs, you ask for too much or speak out about the quality of care, they will hammer on you or your loved ones like a nail. Petty things like delayed changings (they say every 2 hours but more like 4), rough handling, impromptu "rules" that appear to be made up on the spot or just for you can be expected. There are some good and kind people here but they're usually temporary staff or part time. If you can afford better, look elsewhere. PS the food reminds me of my Junior High cafeteria. And the water always has a moldy smell to it. I asked the head of nursing and the response back was , "It's fine. I drink it every day". When I pushed harder, I was told they comply with all state regulations.
